FAQs

I'm interested in working with you... what are the next steps?

You can reach out to me using the contact form on this website. I will do my best to send you an email within a week or so to schedule an informal free 15 minute consultation phone call where we can get a sense of whether we might be a good fit. In this phone call I would be happy to answer any questions you might have about working with me. If we decide we want to begin sessions, we will schedule an intake and I will send you paperwork to fill out before our initial session.

What populations do you work with?

How does payment work? Do you take insurance?

It is very important to me to be able to make therapy as accessible as I can within my own abilities and control. I am paneled with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Harvard Pilgrim, and Optum products (Mass General Brigham and Optum). That being said, your plan might have specificities that I do not have access to. I would encourage you to reach out to your insurance to confirm therapy sessions will be covered and to confirm whether you have a deductible and/or copay for which you will be responsible. If you have a deductible, you may be responsible for up to $120 a session until you reach the amount at which your insurance takes over coverage.

I will be as transparent as possible about the fees I know you might incur for our sessions, however, it is always a good idea for you to confirm details before we meet so you are not responsible for costs you had not anticipated.

What do sessions cost without insurance? Are there other fees I should know about?

If you opt to pay out of pocket I can give you Superbills to submit to your insurance to potentially be reimbursed for plans I am not covered under.

I do have a late cancel fee of $120 for sessions canceled within 24 hours of the appointment time. I also ask that you do your best to arrive to appointments on time and there may be a fee of $15 for arriving late depending on how much of the session you miss. I am happy to discuss why these fees exist when we meet if you have any questions.

What do I need in order to meet with you virtually?

I use a HIPAA protected telehealth platform that will send you a link before our session time. It can be used on computers, tablets, or phones. I ask that you are located alone in a space that feels safe for therapy.
